How Hooray text messaging works
Couples use Hooray to send their own wedding guests updates and answer questions by text. Here's who sends what — and exactly how guests opt in and out.
The messaging program
Who sends
Hooray sends on behalf of the host couple, from one Hooray-owned U.S. number. Every message identifies the couple, e.g. “Alex & Jamie: …”.
Who receives
Only wedding guests who gave Hooray their own express consent, on the form below. No one is ever messaged without opting in first, and consent is never bought, sold, or transferred.
Why
Wedding logistics and schedule details, RSVP and event reminders, and answers to questions a guest texts in. This is not marketing.
How guests opt in
Opting in takes an active, express check of the box below. Nothing is pre-checked, and opting in is never a condition of attending the wedding.
Opt in to wedding text updates
Enter your mobile number and check the consent box to opt in to Hooray wedding text updates. This is the same Hooray form, with the same consent wording, that a couple's guests use on the private guest page their couple shares with them.
Managing your messages by text
Reply STOP to any Hooray text to opt out immediately, or HELP for help. If you've opted out and want the updates back, reply START (or YES) — coming back is always the guest's own choice, and no one else can do it for them.
What to expect
- Message frequency varies by wedding — typically a handful of messages around the event.

- Your mobile number and opt-in are never sold, and never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
